About the game
Goldie2020 is a game about a golden retriever who managed to become the president. Determined to live up to his slogan to “Make the environment great again” he comes up with a plan: Revoke all rights to eat other animals. This way all the animals have to get his approval to eat other animals and he can influence the number of animals of each specific kind! “This is a briliant plan, the best plan out of all plans ever made!” says Goldie. This game was made for the Global Game Jam 2020. Here we aimed for two diversifiers: One that required us to get plenty of rest and one where there are no words present in the game.

Learning points
Within this project I have learned that during a Gamejam you are much more productive if you get plenty of rest.

Throughout the process of Goldie2020 I was the person who helped wherever it was needed. So I ended up doing several things like:
– Helping with the balancing of the game.
– Drawing 2 animals to help the artist.
– Making the planning and organizing meetings.
– Checking in on everyones progress.
– Creating buttons and posters.
– Making sure we had an advantageous position to showcase our game.
