About the game Lootbox Inc was made for the GMTK in 2023. The theme was “Roles reversed” so we thought it would be fun if you were the person controlling the lootboxes. I was the producer for this project but also helped with the art and the sound effects.
Learning points
With this project, I learned that it’s really important to leave time for marketing, even in non-commercial projects. We did get high marks from the other participants but we were lacking in number of votes which ultimately cost us a place in the top 100.
GMTK
This game was made for GMTK 2023. We placed #135 out of 6705 entries.
