About me

Naomi Vogelpoel
“What I love the most about making games is seeing people enjoy them.”

For a long time, I loved playing games but never thought about making them. When I was a kid I picked up a passion for making Maplestory animation videos instead.

The first time I actually thought about making games was when I attended the “Night of the Nerds” at Nemo when I was in high school. There, they had a little workshop about making games where you could tweak the variables of a premade game. Doing this workshop something just…clicked. I wanted to make games.

From there I went to study Game Development at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. There I learned that my passion lies in game design and making sure other people can complete their tasks during projects.

After my bachelor’s, I wanted to get a deeper understanding of programming. This is why I decided to do a master’s degree. Here, I improved my programming skills and learned how to set up scientifically sound research.

Now I am almost done with my master’s in Game and Media Technology at Utrecht University and I am looking for my next challenge!
